==About==

Sanctified is the fourth song from the [[Pretty Hate Machine]] album. It's best known for it's very tribal rhythms and distinctive bassline, though the original version of the song was apparently much brighter. A darker atmosphere was given to it for the [[Pretty Hate Machine]] version. The song appears to be about sex with a woman who the protagonist (Trent) is crazy about but is deathly afraid of.
