I thought it might be worth mentioning that the ETS Forum got its name from a lyric found in this song. Just a thought. Ruiner13

Are there any interviews or articles about why the appendage was dropped for both vinyl and CD versions? It seems an odd thing to do, even for a record company trying to maximise its profits. sheepdeanis in your base killing your d00ds 09:17, 31 March 2009 (PDT)

the whole reason it exists is to even out the playing time of the cassette so that each side is roughly more equal in length. i think there may be some kind of mechanical reason why this is a way of optimising cassettes, too. - Seasonsinthesky 09:38, 8 June 2009 (PDT)
Yes, I understand they had to be equal(ish) length, but that's no reason to not include it on the other two, usually things are removed from the tape versions, not added. Meh, with the DE expected fro 2010, we'll probably have it on CD soon enough sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can 10:14, 8 June 2009 (PDT)
aren't the two CDs roughly equal in length as is? not that two minutes would negatively affect it, of course, but it's a "thing." and the vinyl side with Please is already pushing sound quality, lengthwise, because 10MH and TNF are on it. i think practicality was on TR's side on this one, though you'd figure it would have been even easier to stick in TNF or something on the cassette... - Seasonsinthesky 10:33, 8 June 2009 (PDT)
and i bet the DE, should it happen, will just have this stuff on a bonus disc. one can hope for digital copies of Appendage and the extended/alternate versions, at least, considering there aren't many other b-sides to throw in. what we already have makes a full CD: extended or alternates of TDTWWA, TW, ED, Pilgrimage, La Mer, 10MH, Appendage, TNF, ILFTJYF, Ripe, then Slipping Away, The Great Collapse, Deep, and Metal. and then a data DVD of multitracks. :D - Seasonsinthesky 10:37, 8 June 2009 (PDT)
Hopefully Appendage and Decay will be separate tracks too, even though it'd be havoc for the wiki. sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can 14:03, 8 June 2009 (PDT)
