Nine Inch Nails played the first show of the Hate Tour at The Edge in Palo Alto, California, on May 22, 1990. Meat Beat Manifesto was the opening act.


  • The show marked the first live performance of "Suck", a song co-written by Trent Reznor and the band Pigface. The song would later appear in reworked form on 1992 EP Broken.
  • "Intro" and "Terrible Lie" were broadcast on local bay area channel Post TV. [1]
