Future Ruins
Future Ruins Music & Arts Festival (with the subtitle "The Music Tells The Story") was a planned festival organized by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, featuring an array of television and film composers performing their works live, including Reznor and Ross. The festival was set to take place on November 8, 2025, at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Los Angeles, CA, before it was cancelled on October 3, 2025, due to logistical issues.[1]
In an interview with 032c magazine[2], Reznor said of the cancellation:
We're extremely, extremely disappointed, and we realized this is on us. We've been working on this for years, but we were unrealistic about our own time management. Various logistical issues came up - crowd flow, stage setup, even surprises from the fire marshal - that would greatly alter the experience. Everything turned into a scramble, and we shifted from creating something deeply thought-through into a triage mindset. This made us question why we wanted to do it in the first place. Our goal was to create an impeccable experience, and a few things put what matters most to us - the feeling and the finesse - into jeopardy. We had to make a tough but necessary decision.
