'''This One Is On Us''' [http://www.thisoneisonus.org] is the name of a fan organization that specializes in [[Nine Inch Nails]] live video releases. The project was originally created in response to [http://www.theninhotline.net/news/archives/backissue.php?y=08&m=12#1228356453 an announcement] by [[Trent Reznor]] that plans for a 3D Blu-ray of the [[Lights In The Sky Tour]] had been abandoned. The group decided to create its own video release [http://www.echoingthesound.org/phpbbx/viewtopic.php?t=46378]. After a round of voting, ''[[Another Version Of The Truth]]'' was chosen to be the project title, continuing the tradition of naming NIN concert videos after a certain song (''[[And All That Could Have Been (halo)|And All That Could Have Been]]'', ''[[Beside You In Time (halo)|Beside You In Time]]'').

While this particular project was well-underway, the group also worked on several other releases, including ''The Downward Spiral: Live''[http://www.theninhotline.net/features/TDSlive/], a very popular release documenting of the first out of two ever live performances of ''[[The Downward Spiral (halo)|The Downward Spiral]]'' in its entirety, played on August 23rd 2009, at Webster Hall in New York City. This specific project earned the group the attention of the band members themselves, who all tweeted about the release, impressed by its quality. [[Rob Sheridan]] also posted about it on [[nin.com]] on October 23rd, 2009 [http://www.nin.com/?id=93361].

On December 18th, the group released the final trailer [http://bit.ly/8iP26a] for ''Another Version Of The Truth'', released as three separate torrents respectively on December 25th 2009, January 25th 2010, and February 25th 2010, and followed by a physical release. One DVD is comprised of footage filmed in [[2008/12/13 Las Vegas, NV|Las Vegas]] on 13 December, 2008 at the final date of the 2008 North American tour. The other DVD is compiled from over 400 gigabytes of high-definition footage from three other stops on the tour, released as a Christmas and New Year gift from Nine Inch Nails. The other DVD was filled with bonus material, including making-of documentaries, bonus videos of rarely played songs, interviews and more. This project was also released on Blu-ray and several "box set" copies were made for Trent Reznor and the NIN touring band of 2008.

The project and website became inactive in summer 2016.

====The Gift====
NIN had originally intended to film the entirety of three shows of the Lights In The Sky Tour in 3D, using [[wp:James Cameron|James Cameron]]'s 3D team, for release as a live concert video. Due to the record label pulling out at the last minute, the project could not be completed. Several shows were nevertheless shot by the road crew with prosumer equipment, and the raw footage was released for fans to do with as they wished. This One Is On Us took the footage and made it into a full-length concert video, to pair with the previously made Vegas disc. This was also released as a standalone piece, minus the Vegas and bonus portions.

===The Downward Spiral: Live===
On one of NIN's [[Wave Goodbye Tour]] club shows, the band surprised the crowd by playing the entirety of ''The Downward Spiral'' live, which also produced the first ever playing of "[[A Warm Place]]." This footage was filmed entirely by fans and edited by the same team that worked on the AVOTT release.

A DVD of portions of the final dress rehearsal, performed for just 300 NIN fans, of the Lights In The Sky Tour.  The original footage in HD was posted later on [[NIN Live Archive]].

A filming approved by [[How To Destroy Angels]] of the Chicago show of their debut tour.

<blockquote>July 22nd, 2015 – In 2010, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Mariqueen Maandig-Reznor (West Indian Girl), Atticus Ross (12 Rounds), Alessandro Cortini (Sonoio) and Rob Sheridan formed How To Destroy Angels.  Their debut album “Welcome Oblivion” was followed by 11 sold out shows of the United States - including two shows at Coachella – and demand for further performances, both in the US and overseas. Added to this innovative visuals from Moment Factory and a performance quickly described by the attendees as “exceptional”, the tour was documented to allow their global fan base a chance to experience the work of this supergroup on the stage.
 
Members of This One Is On Us (Another Version of the Truth, The Downward Spiral Live) and the Nine Inch Nails Live Archive subsequently sought to capture the performance through the eyes of fans using high definition equipment at the Vic Theatre in Chicago on 23rd April 2013. The footage was edited by fans globally (Detroit, London, Montreal, Australia) and what emerges today is HTDA [CHICAGO].  It is the only complete document of this rare production that was only performed 11 times in club-capacity venues. Available in multiple digital formats, to stream and download, for free.
