[[Nine Inch Nails]] embarked on a world [[tours|tour]] titled the '''Peel It Back Tour''' with dates in Europe and North America from June 2025 to March 2026. The supporting act was [[Boys Noize]] for all non-festival shows. The tour takes its name from a lyric in "[[March Of The Pigs (song)|March Of The Pigs]]".

In between the 2025 European leg and the 2025 North American leg of the tour, [[Ilan Rubin]] left the band to join Foo Fighters, and [[Josh Freese]] rejoined the band for the rest of the dates.

This was the first arena tour for Nine Inch Nails since the [[Tension 2013 Tour]].  The headlining shows featured two stages, with the B-stage being located in the middle of the arena floor, surrounded on all four sides by the audience. The elevated B-stage had two staircases opposite each other, accessed via a floor pathway created by security. During the Boys Noize opening act set, the B-stage was shrouded by a curtain on all sides, which then dropped to transition to the first act of the show, revealing a three station setup: a digital piano for Reznor, a mixing console for Ross, and a keyboard and mixing station for Cortini.  It could also accommodate walking room for Finck to join them on-stage to play guitar for "[[Piggy#Piggy (Nothing Can Stop Me Now)|Piggy (Nothing Can Stop Me Now)]]" or "[[The Fragile (song)|The Fragile]]". Simple lighting was provided by an overhead rig and an array of lights along the whole perimeter of the stage. A handheld followspot was used on Reznor for "Piggy". When not in use, the instrument stations were lowered inside the B-stage, for less obstructed views of the main stage.

The second act took place on the main stage, with a traditional Nine Inch Nails live band layout. During this act, the stage was surrounded by thin, transluscent scrims on all four sides of the stage, which served as projection screens for an elaborate system of video projectors on all sides of the stage. There was an additional scrim inside the stage "cube" just in front of Rubin/Freese and Cortini's stations that was rear projected from the interior rear of the cube. There were two additional large scrims flanking each side of the stage, serving as large projection screens. The number of screens, along with sophisticated video processing, allowed for elaborate layering and video effects. The projections often included live shots of the band, provided by fixed, remote cameras, as well as a roaming, handheld camera.  When not in use, the main stage was shrouded by a thicker curtain, which also served as a projection screen for the first to second act transition and during the third act. Much of the projected visuals for the songs played during the second act—notably "Reptile" and "Heresy"—were designed by artist Marcin Pospiech.

The third act returned to the B-stage, with Reznor and Ross joining Boys Noize on-stage. Reznor's digital piano station was replaced with a mixing desk for Boys Noize, and Reznor took over Cortini's station. The overhead lighting rig was augmented by an additional layer of rigging surrounding the rig used in the first act. The overhead rig, combined with the perimeter lighting and copious usage of fog machines provided the lighting effects for this EDM-focused set. Overhead track lighting also illuminated the entire arena floor, usually during the last song of the act. The roaming, handheld camera was used to project live visuals of the band on the main stage curtains and screens during this act. Each song played in the third act corresponds to a tarot card set up on Cortini's/Reznor's  station.

The fourth and final act returned to the main stage. The stage scrims were removed, leaving a large lighting array at the back of the stage. The flanking projection screens remained in place, used mainly for live video projections of the band members.

For festival shows and headlining shows without the B-stage, there was no stage production, just lots of lighting arrays and fog machines. Flanking video screens featured feeds from the handheld and fixed cameras.
