The Nine Inch Nails Wiki began when Malechite openly asked in an IRC channel if anyone had any experience with Wiki software. Tony spoke up, and soon enough Merzbau and Heroicraptor joined in. The NIN Hotline gave the Wiki a jump-start by posting an article about the Wiki, and then posted a few more times with links to the Wiki.
