With Teeth
This is the original album version found on With Teeth. It opens with clattering live drums played with an odd meter. Thick, distorted bass comes in, followed by a swarming guitar melody. Trent Reznor's vocals are low and soft, similar to those on "Sanctified". The choruses have shouted vocals. Semi-acoustic sounding guitar chord stabs enter just before the bridge. The bridge has an unusually quiet volume, with piano, a uniquely effected guitar, and even softer vocals from Reznor. This is abruptly ended by the full volume of the song coming back in. The track ends much as it began, with pared-down instrumentation under Reznor's vocal.
With Teeth (Instrumental)
With Teeth (Beside You In Time)
This live version is available on the Beside You In Time DVD. Trent Reznor says "the line begins to blur" instead of "the lines begin to blur" and "she comes on strong" instead of "it comes on strong."
Live
"With Teeth" made its live debut on March 23, 2005. It was played at 46 shows (out of 146) during the Live: With Teeth tour, and it was played twice during the Performance 2007 tour. When performed live, it's performed very closely to the album version. Reznor often uses a tambourine during some of the instrumental parts, while Alessandro Cortini is often seen using an acoustic guitar (as in Beside You In Time).
