When the song was performed, a curtain was dropped down in front of the stage as lights pulsated both on the screen and behind the stage. The band could be seen silhouetted against the back lights. As the song built to its climax, Reznor could be seen lifting his microphone stand, swinging it at the curtain at the song's climax as it showed a shattering glass effect and lifted, revealing the stage once again.
"Beside You In Time" was performed in Japan in 2014, for the first time since 2006, and made fifteen further appearances throughout the year, always preceded by "[[Hand Covers Bruise]]".
