{{expand}}Shortly after finishing their run on the first-ever [[Lollapalooza Tour|Lollapalooza]] tour, [[Nine Inch Nails]] went on their first-ever European tour. They played a mix of headlining and opening concerts over the course of one month. The tour is These dates were part of the [[Pretty Hate Machine Tour]] series.

The setup for this tour was minimal with had an industrial aesthetic, and used basic lighting and fog machines. There was also a gate/cage-like structure made of metal pipe that went across the stage, separating the drum riser area from the rest of the band. The drum riser was hollow with a metal grate on the front, and some of the lighting was placed inside.
