All "Art Of Self Destruction" remixes and the first part of "The Beauty Of Being Numb" use "Mr. Self Destruct" as source material. The live version of "Hurt" later appeared on Closure.
This Halo has yet to be officially released on vinyl in any configuration, and was only released on cassette as a promo in Germany. The same country also had a limited edition bootleg version , containing the CD and three pins housed in a black tin box with three pinsmade to look like a film canister.
The album contains work from Aphex Twin (Richard D. James): "At The Heart Of It All" and the second half of "The Beauty Of Being Numb". James allegedly claims to have never heard The Downward Spiral, thus revealing his contributions to be two original pieces instead of remixes. As well, "At The Heart Of It All" may be based on or influenced by the Coil song of the same name, the band being signed to Trent Reznor's Nothing Records prior to its fold.

Truncated Recordings
Upon release on streaming and DSP services, four songs were posted with erroneous truncations. The truncated times are listed below. After a few years, the truncated tracks were corrected.
* "The Downward Spiral (The Bottom)" (5:57)
* "At the Heart of it All" (6:10)
* "Self Destruction, Final" (5:41)
* "The Beauty of Being Numb" (5:00)

However, for the 2025 Interscope CD reissue, the exact same truncations appeared again, indicating that Interscope probably has some bad masters in their archives.
