A stripped down, acoustic version of this song was included on the ''Still'' album. It mostly resembles the "Quiet" mix of the original song, but adapts the end of the song as played on tour into a more relaxed, atmospheric version. The 2025 leak of the official giveaway CD-R from [[The CRC Sessions]] revealed that the ''Still'' version of "The Day The World Went Away" comes from that session (as it contained an alternate take of the song that matches, albeit with some mixing differences.)This is further corroborated by the fact that the engineers for this track are the front-of-house engineer for the [[Fragility]] tour (Jon Lemon) and an engineer for the Chicago Recording Company (Chris Shepard).
