It is a cover version of the original theme, and is credited as "John Carpenter’s Halloween (Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross Version)". A limited edition vinyl version was released on October 26, 2018 on black vinyl and orange vinyl.
On December 2nd, 2019, it was confirmed by [[John Crawford]] on Echong the Sound forum that it's release number is [[Halo numbers|Null 07]], in keeping with [[The Null Corporation]]'s numbering system.
