Found on a [http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v699/meathead666/tourtshirt.jpg Nine Inch Nails tour shirt], a series of highlighted numbers spelled out the words "I am trying to believe," leading users to [http://www.iamtryingtobelieve.com [I Am Trying To Believe|iamtryingtobelieve.com]]. This site details numerous things going on in this timeline, such as the [[Parepin]] disease and [[The Presence]]. Using the [[Year Zero|tracklist to the album]], people discovered [[Year Zero Related Websites|numerous related websites]].

The first of these additional websites, [[Another Version of the Truth (website)|Another Version of the Truthanotherversionofthetruth.com]], shows what looks to be a propaganda poster. Clicking and dragging portions of the image reveals it "tears away" into a much more negative image, giving a link linking to a [http://anotherversionofthetruth.com/forum.htm message board] in which users have been discussing various aspects of society, including handing out links to various [[Another Version of the Truth (website)|audio files]] and links to [[Be the Hammer|other related websites]]. More [[Year Zero Related Websites|websites have popped up]] through context, giving more information as to what is happening in the universe and specifying more details, opening up more puzzles, and inpiring the community to dig further to explore more of this world. On February 14th, 2007, [[My Violent Heart (leak)|"My Violent Heart"]], track eight of [[Year Zero]], was "leaked" to the Internet. Later that day, the website [[Opalescent Haze]] showed up on the community's radar.
