This is the original album version as it appears on the CD and vinyl editions of ''The Fragile.'' Flowing directly either from the introduction (CD) or ending (vinyl) of "[[10 Miles High]]," it opens immediately with the verse drum loop, synthesized bass, and manipulated guitars for eight bars before reducing to the first verse, accompanying Reznor's vocals with only the drum loop and a bass riff. Other synthesizer and guitar layers join in to lead into the pre-chorus, with Reznor accompanying himself as a backing vocalist. The chorus is sung low, almost spoken over a decaying synthesizer note, leading into the second verse and pre-chorus. The final chorus is extended, featuring a reversed string loop. The song stops as suddenly as it began.

Found exclusively on the audio cassette version of ''The Fragile,'' this version adds an extra section to the end of the original, bridged by two seconds of silence. The appendage appears to be layers of the original, remixed with harsher electronic sounds by [[Charlie Clouser]]. It also contains extra lyrics, including "never be enough" repeated and "I'm going down [fast]." This additional section seems to have been initially titled "Please Part 2," according to a photo originally published on nin.com during ''The Fragile'' era (see image at right).
