Prior to Sheridan's hiring, much of NIN' s art direction was handled by [[Gary Talpas]]. Sheridan left his position as NIN art director in late 2014, and was succeeded by John Crawford. ==Biography==Sheridan attended Pratt Institute in New York for one year and has been began working with them [[Trent Reznor]] in 1999, after being hired because Reznor was impressed with his unofficial NIN fansite, "Above The Trees", which he created during high school. He was then appointed as the art director for NIN, contributing photography, web design, album covers and packaging design, an alternate reality game, [[Nine Inch Nails music videos|music videos]], live tour visuals and live concert films.  He was nominated for the 2008 Grammy award for "Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package" for his work on the ''[[Ghosts I-IV]]'' limited edition boxed set. In his work as art director for HTDA, he contributed the past nine years since being hired HTDA logo, promotional photography, and merchandise design. He also worked with Reznor and [[Atticus Ross]] on the artwork and packaging design for ''[[The Social Network Soundtrack|The Social Network]]'', ''[[The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Soundtrack|The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo]]'' and ''[[Gone Girl Soundtrack|Gone Girl]]'' soundtracks. He is also known for his own illustration work. Beginning in 19992007, he has posted artwork and released limited edition signed and numbered prints on his Sketchblog and portfolio. He was also briefly a member of How To Destroy Angels, contributing mainly as a visual rather than musical member. In concert, he contributed synthesizers, vocals and visual effects. He also helped to design the Beats Music streaming audio service, serving as a creative director alongside Reznor, the chief creative officer. In 2018, he announced that he would be writing a comic book series called ''High Level''.
