Water bottles and cell phones don't match
::I would add all of that information, but the problem with that is that Inever owned a copy of the Blu-Ray version, so I don't know the specifics, I just know that somewhere in there led to SBI... I think :) Jgrizzy89 11:54, 1 June 2007 (PDT)

Water bottles and cell phones don't match
So, I've been watching the two live DVD sets repeatedly these days, and I've noticed something: in AATCHB, the band throws lots of water at the crowd, and often spit around the stage. In BYIT, the "new guys" don't have any bottles around them, and only Reznor punches some glasses of water at the crowd at the end of "Terrible Lie".

I think this is because many people in the crowd in BYIT hold cell phones? If I remember correctly, cell phones with cameras attached on them did not exist back in 2000, the year of the Fragility tour (which AATCHB features).

As for the spitting, the only time somebody spat in BYIT was in the middle of "Head like a Hole" (a really funny close-up, with Reznor singing and Alessandro Cortini spitting).

I know, I'm a disgusting person, but it seems to me that BYIT has more differences from AATCHB than just widescreen picture, the new band members, the With Teeth songs and Reznor's "beefed-up" look. It's the documentary of a new era, where technology has evolved so much that people can film videos in 1920x1080 resolution and progressive scanning, record their favorite rock concerts with their own cell phones, encode audio in Dolby Digital TrueHD and make Reznor's vocals swirl around the surround speakers (for example, "You Know What You Are?").

The only "surround effects" in AATCHB were some stupid guitar solo effects in "Gave Up" and a terribly painful bass in Robin Finck's solo in "Starfuckers, Inc.". I almost regretted bying my surround speakers. No offence, AATCHB is excellent, but the sound mixing should have been a bit better. --Wizfan, the man who erased the capital H 04:44, 12 September 2007 (PDT)
