The words La Mer translates translate to: The Sea.
Lyrics! Lyrics! Lyrics!
So in an effort to keep things consistent, I noticed that someone added an alternate translation of the Creole French lyrics, deleting the translationt hat was in the liner notes. I re-added the liner note translation but kept the other translation, noting that it's more literal than what was printed with The Fragile. Hopefully people will find all of this useful.--Leo3375 10:23, 7 April 2007 (PDT)
:Corrected to actual words spoken in the track + french equivalent because creole french is vague because context based (that's why the official translation is also correct in a way), and corrected the literal english translation. It's actually haitian creole for anyone wondering. I may do a full breakdown of what was wrong in the previous translation and other interesting facts about the french lyrics later.--StockAvuryah 12:33, 24 March 2018 (GMT+1)

::I would regard it as a rumor for now. Besides, it's irrelevant to this Wiki.--Leo3375 10:03, 25 May 2007 (PDT)
:::Ok, do you know if she provide vocals to another track beside La Mer? M.A.X. 12:22, 25 May 2007 (PDT)
::::Nope. I just looked at The Fragile liner notes and that's the only song for which she's listed.--Leo3375 12:58, 25 May 2007 (PDT):::::Discogs has her on La Mer and that's it. --Tonyconverse! 14:56, 25 May 2007 (PDT)::::::perhaps M.A.X. was thinking of Kim Prevost's vocals on TDTWWA (Quiet). - Seasonsinthesky 11:09, 15 November 2009 (PST) == Adrift and at Peace == I found the tidbit and source on the "Adrift And At Peace" page. I thought it was important to add it to this artcile as well. Aeontriad 14:41, 7 July 2008 (PDT) == Sgt. Pepper's? Huh? == Further explanation is probably needed to justify this: <i>"It is very similar to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles, in that it layers many, many instruments to induce atonality and the said sonic atmosphere."</i> Similar how, exactly? Because it layers instruments? It has atonal parts that resolve? This describes literally thousands of rock songs before and after both La Mer and said Beatles song. Sonic atmosphere? I suggest this be removed or sourced by someone who knows what they're talking about. iantm 09:22, 4 Dec 2009 (EST)   == Drums in (Version) == They sound quite like drums in Burn song, don't they? Should this (subjective) mention be added in the article? BenAkenobi 09:30, 15 November 2009 (PST) :you're going to have to explain yourself further, i think — there are all kinds of percussion tracks in that remix (Dillon being a drummer and all), and not one of them sounds absolutely anything like the drums in Burn to me (especially not the live drums, which could maybe pass for resembling those in Piggy, but only slightly). also, you should sign anything you post on Talk pages with your name (just type four successive tildes, which look like this: ~). - Seasonsinthesky 11:09, 15 November 2009 (PST) ::OK, to explain myself further means "well, those drums, sounds kinda familiar..." in this case. So this one doesn't deserve investigation and should be counted as unique? BenAkenobi 11:38, 15 November 2009 (PST):::-jumps in- To me the similarity is simply that they are both by the same artist, but if you want to get some sound analysis down, go for it. I'm sure seasons would love to edit some more info in =D sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can 15:55, 15 November 2009 (PST) ::::i just don't hear anything similar whatsoever. nothing plays the same rhythm. it's approaching the level of the guy who thinks the cover of TDS looks like the cover of The Beatles' white album. - Seasonsinthesky 18:40, 15 November 2009 (PST) :::::It totally does though man. Like Burn sounds JUST like Never Gonna Give You Up sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can 03:16, 17 November 2009 (PST) :: I'm not arguing with sheepdean (i'm in no mood to dig up Never gonna give you uP for comparison) the drum part that to me is similar to Burn begins at 3:10 and becomes more evident at 3:50, of course not exactly like Burn, more like live experiment with the same style. So i wouldn't have been surprised if i heard "This world rejects me, this world threw me away" during that section BenAkenobi 03:44, 17 November 2009 (PST)
