::I think the only reason to require registration is as a spam protection measure. Compulsory registration raises the barrier to entry for prospective editors. A shared, anonymous account makes editing more accessible, and it can be dealt with if spam or vandalism becomes a problem. This account has not been used for any ill purpose. It is only that I declared it a shared account that this discussion is even taking place.
