On February 16, 2009, Reznor announced that the 2009 tour would be NIN's last "for a while." On April 30, 2009, the tour had been renamed from "NIN 2009" to "Wave Goodbye."On May 5, 2009, Reznor disclosed in an interview that this would be the last NIN tour.
