Video guidelines
'''The Nine Inch Nails Wiki''' is just that - a wiki. We rely on user created and submitted content to create a database of information on the band, so we trust our users a great deal to actually create articles instead of ripping them off. It's pretty apparent when it's done, so we're not too worried about that. What we are worried about is media. Here's some media items that are not allowed on the Wiki:
* '''Song Samples''' - Just link to Amazon. That saves Wiki resources, among other things.* '''Non-NIN-related stuff''' - This is a Nine Inch Nails wiki, not a wiki about your drunk friend Dan. We don't need to see photos of him taking a dive off of a barstool, no matter how funny you think it is.
* '''Stuff copyrighted to magazines, TV stations, etc.''' - A low-resolution image of a magazine cover should be okay, but 1200x1600 scans of interviews with Trent's guitar tech aren't.
*'''Music Videos''' - Unless it was uploaded to YouTube, MySpace, etc. by NIN or their record label, please do not post a link to it.
*'''Live video''' - If it was recorded on TV or broadcast over the Web, don't post a link to it. Amateur video might be allowed in some circumstances.
If you're unsure about the copyright status of something, contact [[NinWiki:Staff|an admin]] or just don't upload at all.
