The song begins with scratching noises and ambient sounds layered together. A. An underwater-like melody begins to play, with Reznor whispering above them. The melody stops, and tone of the song shifts, becoming darker, as the song gradually builds to its climax. A looped guitar and drum stream is played throughout with electronic noises moving on top. Finally, the guitars come in, and Reznor yells out the chorus, ending the song's climax. The song fades out with more ambient noise and whispering, providing a small segue to "[[Into The Void (song)|Into The Void]]."
