}}David Bowie's song I'm Afraid of Americans was remixed by Trent Reznor for its maxi-single release in 1997.
Music Video
The video features Reznor stalking Bowie throughout New York, with Bowie constantly trying to escape. Throughout the video, violent acts are "commited" with guns seemingly only visible to Bowie, culminating in Reznor firing an automatic imaginary gun at a cab that Bowie is hiding behind. Reznor subsequently appears bearing a cross as part of a misfit parade passing Bowie in the streets, chanting "God is an American."

Live
Nine Inch Nails first performed this song live on the NIN|JA 2009 Tour.
