The Mellotron MKIV used on the album (as well as on ''Broken'') once belonged to John Lennon. Engineer [[Sean Beavan]] remarked to ''Sound On Sound'' in the above referenced article that it still had The Beatles' tape loops in it. Contrary to popular belief, it was is not used to record The Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever", nor is it owned by Reznor.
