→Original CD-ROM: I looked at all the versions of Quake on Discogs, and I was not able to find any releases that had these supposed shortened edits of the tracks.

Most versions of the video game included 10 audio tracks from the game as standard were distributed on a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mixed_Mode_CD mixed mode CD-Audio files], so the game disc could be played in a CD player with the first track reserved for containing the video game data (which cannot be read by a CD player), and the remaining 10 additional tracks of musiccontaining standard CD Digital Audio. Some versions of The purpose is for the game include shortened edits of CD audio tracks to accompany the music video gameplay. The standard audio trackscan also be played back in a regular CD player.
