In home video release commentary for ''The Crow'', producer and musical supervisor Jeff Most revealed that Nine Inch Nails were originally supposed to perform in the film instead of My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult.
Trent Reznor was important to the process of getting ''The Crow'''s soundtrack to happen. Jeff Most wanted songs that were originals, or covers that would be exclusive to the soundtrack. This was highly atypical for soundtracks at the time , and Most was thwarted, but encountered resistance from record label executives.
