After breaking up for the first time in 1991, Jane's Addiction briefly reunited multiple times, both with and without original bassist [[Eric Avery]], and the band used several bassists in his place when he did not participate. Guitarist Dave Navarro was also temporarily replaced during his bout with long COVID in 2022 and 2023. The original lineup began touring and releasing new songs in 2024, but interpersonal and onstage conflicts halted the progress of those activities.
