On April 27, 2000, [[Nine Inch Nails]] played a special show at the Chicago Recording Company, broadcast on Chicago alternative rock radio station, Q101. Some of the songs (specifically "[[Something I Can Never Have]]", "[[The Day The World Went Away (song)|The Day The World Went Away]]" , and "[[Hurt (song)|Hurt]]") were performed in new, stripped-down form, considered acoustic, and [[Trent Reznor]] [[Still#About|stated]] that the performances inspired ''[[Still]]'', part of the ''[[And All That Could Have Been (halo)|And All That Could Have Been]]'' release.

The soundboard quality audio [[bootlegs|bootleg]] of this performance is known as ''The CRC Sessions'', ''Acoustic in Chicago'', or ''Live and Deconstructed in Chicago.'' .
In 2025, an eBay listing appeared for a CD-R that was supposedly officially mastered and mailed to the attendees. Differences to the tracklist include the CD having only one take of "Hurt", omitting "The Big Come Down", and featuring an as-of-yet unknown intro.
