Because of this, it has never appeared on a studio album. The title and lyrics may be related to "Even Deeper." ===Song Credits===*Writing, arrangement, and perfomance: Trent Reznor*Producers: Trent Reznor, Alan Moulder*Mastering: Tom Baker at Precision Mastering ==Appearances=====Seeds===*Collected*The Definitive NIN - The Singles ===Soundtracks===*Lara Croft: Tomb Raider ==Versions=====Deep===This is the original version found on the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider soundtrack. A simple song in its structure, the verses feature a loud 4/4 drum loop and a permeating synthesized bassline surrounded by ambient loops. The choruses are distinguished by a permutation of the bassline punctured by wah guitar soloing. Reznor delivers most of the lyrics quite harshly in both sections. ===Deep (Radio Edit)===This version is about 30 seconds shorter than the original. ===Deep (Instrumental)===Officially mastered, this vocalless mix was released by Reznor through his remix.nin.com account. ==Music Video==The music video for "Deep" was filmed in May, 2001, and directed by Enda McCallion. The story in the video is told in reverse, with the end of the story beginning the video. SPOILERS BEGIN<br>Reznor plays a man who robbed an armored car carrying two security boxes containing a small fortune. When he subtly alerts his girlfriend that he's going to retrieve them, she wants in. They carry off the boxes, leaving in separate vehicles. What neither of them realize is that the boxes have been tamper-proofed with a highly caustic and corrosive dye. When they both try to break open the boxes, they get hit by the dye. In a panic and burning due to the dye, they both try to find each other, crashing their vehicles when they meet. Reznor manages to crawl out of his car and finds his girlfriend lying unconscious on the pavement. Intercut with these events is footage of a newscast in which the anchorwoman describes what has happened and what will happen if/when the dye hits human skin.<br>END SPOILERS<br>
Was Described above is how the promotional single made by Nine Inch Nails for events happened, but the Lara Croft:Tomb Raider's soundtrack.Cause it's a promotional single it has never been released as a halo video begins with the car crash and ends with Reznor and in any album of his girlfriend deciding to open the bandboxes.
Lyrics
Blank stare, disrepair
There's a big black hole gonna eat me up someday
Someday fades away
Like a memory—or a place that you'd rather be
Some place, lost in space
Itch in my head that's telling me somewhere
Somewhere, out there, anywhere, I don't care, get me out of here
If I could feel
All the pins and the pricks
If you were real
I could take what's apart and put it back together
This will come true
Help me get through
Into you
Deep
All I can do
Driving me through
Into you
Deep
One track, got you on your back
Your skin speaks up but your lips couldn't say it
Right now, I know somehow
We could take the chance and we could make it (make it)
Right here make it all disappear
Everything that we've been missing, missing
You make me feel
That there's a part of me
That I want to get back again
Make this come true
Help me get through
Into you
Deep
All I can do
Pushing it through
Into you
Deep
All I can do
Driving on through
Into you
Deep
You're slipping through
I'm coming to
Into you
Deep
We could become
Two into one
Leave this behind
Over and done
Everything new
I'm getting through
Into you
