On March 3, 2009, the first dates of the tour—known as the "NIN/JA Tour" ''(pronounced as "ninja")''—were announced. On March 5, 2009, Reznor announced via Twitter that Street Sweeper (featuring Tom Morello and Boots Riley) would be the opening act on the tour. This information was soon posted to the official site.
