"Not What It Seems Like" is an unreleased track cut from The Fragile and later released instrumentally on its accompaniment, The Fragile: Deviations 1 in 2016/17.

Not What It Seems Like (Instrumental)

The only known version. The track begins with a somewhat stuttering and clipped drum track. Pleasant guitar chords enter and are then augmented by a cello. The melody keeps looping and is further augmented by synth bass and more drums. During the final section of the track, there are bars where most of the instruments except the drums have dropped out. Stabs of intensely distorted guitar are also present in the outro.
