The Spiral was the official fan club for Nine Inch Nails. It featured message boards, exclusive photographs, exclusive videos, and Q&A chat sessions with the band. The Spiral was started in June 2005 and featured two levels: Standard and Premium. It was shut down in 2009.
The Standard membership had an annual fee of US $25 and included:
- A membership card
- Spiral patch
- Set of album lithos
- Access to concert ticket pre-sales
- Access to Spiral entrance at concerts
- Webcasts
- Photos, videos, and updates from Trent Reznor
- Band chats
- Spiral message board access
- Spiral blog
The Premium membership had an annual fee of US $55 and consisted of everything in the Standard membership plus:
- A Premium-only Spiral T-shirt
- NIN-related e-mail account
- Early entrance to concerts at the Spiral entrance
An exclusive members-only NIN show was performed on March 31, 2006 during the With Teeth Spring Arena Tour.
In 2007, a message was left on the Spiral page stating:
