Versions

30 Ghosts IV

The song begins with a beat in 7/4 time modified from a Saddam Hussein Trial Verdict. It fades out and a loop and Ultrahormonix join in with an atmospheric guitar in the background. More samples from the Hussein trial enter the piece. Afterward, the song enters a new section with the beat, slowed-down Arabic voices from the trial sample and the Ultrahormonix, then everything joins in again with a marimba played by Adrian Belew and fades out.

Live

"30 Ghosts IV" has never been played live.

Differences in Artwork

It should be noted that much of the artwork embedded in the files of the official download of Ghosts I–IV from nin.com are not just cropped versions of the photographs in the PDF. In this case, the two photographs are completely different.
