The March
"The March" is an outtake from The Fragile. It has not been released, but an instrumental version was originally made available by Trent Reznor on the Apple Music platform and was later released on The Fragile: Deviations 1.
The song was later given to Saul Williams on a disc of The Fragile outtakes. He and Reznor used the track to create "Skin Of A Drum".

The March (Instrumental)
This is the only available version. Released exclusively through Apple Music and on The Fragile: Deviations 1. It alternates back and forth between two distinct musical sections. The first has descending guitar chords and percussion with a slow marching tempo and feel, which is punctuated by an icy piano melody, as well as tense tremolo strings like those heard in the intro of "I'm Looking Forward To Joining You, Finally". The other section is musically and tonally reminiscent of "And All That Could Have Been".
