Year Zero depicts a strongly Christian-State-dominated dystopian future of the United States and much of the world. As such, the Year Zero world is riddled with Bible references and much unexplained phenomena prompting theories involving bible references.

Carolina's Pilgrim Password

There are segments on the main page of Secure Broadcast Informatics that can be moved like a jigsaw puzzle. There is a username of Carolina and when you pass the segment over a certain part the password appears as "matt26:45-46."
Matthew 26:45-46

    "Then cometh he to the disciples, and saith unto them, 
    Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, 
    and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 
    Arise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that betrayeth me."

Also, when the password is correctly typed in, you are brought to a "live" conversation, and near the end, the phrase "the hour is at hand" is repeated.

"Survivalism"

Six bible verses have been located in the video for "Survivalism." In the order they are seen, they are:
Isaiah 15:9 (graffiti wall)

    "For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood:
    for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him
    that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land."

John 19:34 (picture of Jesus in the living room)
