Talk:Nin.com
The format for this needs to be changed. There is no reason that all photos from the month of august should appear on the nin.com page. It takes to long and uses up too much bandwidth.
Here is what should happen -
The nin.com page needs to talk about the major changes that have happened throughout the history of nin.com. There should no photos on the main page. There should be a link to the photo archive. When one clicks the link to the photo archive, they should be taken to a page where they can select which days photos they would like to view. I would change this myself, but i cannot figure out how to add a new page.
- Tony is creating archives for the photos. I would bring the issue up with him. Oh, and please sign your comments. Just type four tildes (~) without spaces between them.--Leo3375 09:31, 8 August 2007 (PDT)
I tried to start cleaning up the photo archive only to find that the organizational structure I was working on was deleted within 10 minutes of me creating it. I did not have time to finish my idea because it was erased so quickly. My work did not change or effect anything currently existing on this site. Why would it have to be deleted? Is this really the nature of a wiki? Do you think someones contributions should be immediately deleted before they even come to fruition, simply because they are not a moderator/staff? If that is the case, this wiki is being run more like message forum then a wiki. I am quite dissapointed by this. It is not like this wiki is very thorough or well done to begin with, there is no reason that a users contributions should be immediately deleted.
I understand that you say Tony is working on archiving the photos. Well IMO it shouldnt take more then an hour to clean up the archives into a more navigable, bandwidth friendly form. Obviusly Tony has not had that free hour yet, and i did. Why should my contribution be squelched? Byates5637 15:07, 8 August 2007 (PDT)
- I see where you're coming from. We should come up with a solution. Perhaps what we can do is create an August archive and put the photos dated August 1–7 there and leave the photos dated August 8–14 on the Nin.com page.--Leo3375 15:37, 8 August 2007 (PDT)

If Talk:Nin.com is the wrong place, I'm sorry, but I didn't know where to post this.
So, I downloaded the Me, I'm Not video clip Rob Sheridan posted on Youtube yesterday and noticed that the Art Is Resistance logo flashes on screen for a few seconds. Does this have to do with the Year Zero ARG? --Wizfan 09:43, 15 August 2007 (PDT)
- No, it's been on the laptops since day one. -Heroicraptor 13:21, 16 August 2007 (PDT)

As the gallery gets too long, dump the first half into the respective archive. --Tonyconverse! 09:54, 17 August 2007 (PDT)
Erased text - maybe something interesting?
Sorry again, but I didn't know where to post this one, either.
This image is from the old "access" section of nin.com:
I've been trying to "decipher" Trent's message. This is what I've done so far:
i am not actively involved with nothing records anymore. i have no particular interest in being involved with a record label at this point in my life, just making music. last year was a shitty year—i worked on a great record with 12 rounds that will probably never come out, worked on some interesting material with zack that had promise but got derailed for a number of maddening reasons, lost a friend and a relationship with (???????????) and ended an (unhealthy?) ?????????????????????er. but, it's a new day and i've never felt more free, creative or motivated than i do now.
This "zack" is probably Zack de la Rocha. Any thoughts about the rest?
Also, in case a moderator did not check some of my latest edits on NinWiki (mainly due to the massive information fillow has been providing these days), check out my contribs page. I may have done a mistake that the admins have missed. Thanks in advance, Wizfan, the man who erased the capital H 07:08, 1 October 2007 (PDT)
- I think the "(unhealthy?) ?????????????????????er." says "an unhealthy relationship with my manager". I don't think it really matters since there's nothing particularly important in there that people don't know now. QueenFUBAR 06:58, 16 December 2007 (PST)
[Halle Berry mode] Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! [/Halle Berry mode] Now, I can rest... for now. --Wizfan, the man who erased the capital H 09:25, 16 December 2007 (PST)
Original blog, or fan creation?
What is this? Is it an official blog, or just an archive (just like e-lopo's blog archive)? --Wizfan, the man who erased the capital H 08:34, 7 December 2007 (PST)
- It's a Czech blog, so it's an unofficial NIN page.--Leo3375 19:54, 7 December 2007 (PST)
Thanks for the info. Now, can anyone help me with the mysterious Trent post I mentioned above? I still can't figure out the missing parts. Help! --Wizfan, the man who erased the capital H 06:34, 10 December 2007 (PST)
Access answers & nin.com article layout
I think it might be good to change the article so that it explains the changes that nin.com has gone through, including a list of the versions (e.g V6, V6.9 etc.), as well as listing the various sub-sites (nin.com/with_teeth, thingsfallingapart.com, tds.nin.com, remix.nin.com). I was going to add a page for the old Access Q&A section of nin.com with a gallery but I could incorporate it into a With Teeth "nin.com V6" article, or would that be overkill? Opinions?
QueenFUBAR 08:59, 15 December 2007 (PST)
- A run-down of the different versions of the official site as well as links to articles about the sub-sites would be a great idea! As for the Access page, transcribing the questions and answers onto a Nin.com/Access article would be quite helpful.--Leo3375 09:05, 15 December 2007 (PST)
OK, I'll get to it! - QueenFUBAR 09:30, 15 December 2007 (PST)
- I think this is a good idea. However, you guys still don't seem to be interested in helping me decipher the "access question" above. If you don't care about what it says, at least... tell me! Trent may have written something important in there! --Wizfan, the man who erased the capital H 06:44, 16 December 2007 (PST)
