Overview

Nothing Interactive, Inc. was a company that was founded on March 23, 1995, jointly owned by Trent Reznor and John Malm.[1] It was presumably created to support any work of Reznor's in the areas of things like interactive media or video games. Nothing Interactive was also the business entity used for the registration and creation of official NIN websites [2], until the dissolution of Reznor and Malm's business relationship.

Quake

The only known release for the company is the soundtrack and foley work done by Reznor and Nine Inch Nails for Quake. The company is mentioned in a readme.txt file for the Quake shareware:

"We would also like to thank Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails for their tremendous contributions to Quake's entire audio portion.

"The NIN logo is a Registered Trademark licensed to Nothing Interactive, Inc. All Rights Reserved."
