Nine Inch Nails and David Bowie rented out the Mullins Center at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for dress rehearsals for the upcoming Dissonance/Outside tour. After some pleading, a couple dozen students were given permission by Trent Reznor to attend the full three-hour rehearsal on September 9, 1995.

  • This was ostensibly the first public performances of "The Becoming", the "Closer To God" rework of "Closer", the "Nothing Can Stop Me Now" remix of "Piggy", and the Bowie band reworks of "Eraser" and "Hurt".
